KTMB without 好料的 KTM

Effective 1 July 2011, KTMB track & Tanjong Pagar KTMB Station officially returned to Singapore in exchange of a few plot of land downtown. Arrival of the last train marked the end of KTMB service in Singapore. Before the tracks were removed, the green corridor is open for public. Many shutter bugs, who have never step foot on the train rushed to take pictures before it is long gone.

The track spanned across Singapore Island for 26km. Over a weekend, we join the herd and started to trek from Rifle Range Road to Holland Road. We got off Ulu Pandan CC for breakfast partly because we were tired already.

Along the way we took some pictures for remembrance. True enough, the tracks near Ghim Moh & Holland were removed after 2 weeks. These pictures will be very valuable after a while.

We probably only walked for 2km. If we ate something in the morning, we could have walked further down. Some ministers even the finished the 26km journey. Urban development is behind landscape transformation. KTMB sacrificed & gave way to development such as condo, flats, shopping mall, schools etc. We will always remember KTMB's contribution to bring together people different countries.
